M. Sánchez Almendros, Berja (Almería), Spain.

A degree in Fine Arts from Barcelona University.

Ten years teaching at the Mediterranean Free School (Escuela Libre del Mediterráneo) founded by the great painter Joaquín Torrents Lladó.

Since 1988, he has been a full time painter, exhibiting his work at galleries in Spain and abroad.

During this time he has travelled around Europe visiting the most important collections in order to study the great masters of painting, who are an eternal source of inspiration.

From 1999 to the end of 2001, he lived in San Francisco, USA, where he painted for the Trajan Gallery in Carmel.
At the same time, he worked on four large paintings for the inauguration of the new campus of Life Chiropractic
College West
in Hayward, CA. He also had the post of Artistic Consultant at the same university for one year.

During this period he was invited to give two conferences at Stanford University.

At the present time, he lives and works in Barcelona, dedicating his time exclusively to painting and teaching at his school: Escuela de Pintura Sánchez Almendros.
